On March 24, 1935 Betty's parents presented her to the Lord to be baptized by Pastor E. F. Moerbe of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Aleman. Betty continued her relation with God and on April 10, 1949, Betty was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Hamilton by Pastor Robert P. Nerger.
